Agricom.id, JAKARTA - Ministry of Agriculture Indonesian Republic commemorated Hari Anti Korupsi Sedunia (Hakordia) in 2020, Friday (18/12/2020). The theme was ‘Sinergi dalam Membangun Kesadaran Budaya Antikorupsi, Wujudkan Pertanian Maju, Mandiri, dan Modern’.    

Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) said that the Hakordia commemoration is the important moment to escalate the commitment, increase the supervision and prevention of corruption in Ministry of Agriculture. What to expect is the same commitment to obey every regulation. This is the first thing to develop better, more independent, and modern agriculture.

“Developing the anti-corruption awareness starts from ourselves. Have pride to prevent corruption. The point is, this is the moment to consolidate ourselves and as the public officers so that the operational standards really derive from our work and we have the same will to prevent the behavior,” SYL said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also emphasized, besides empowering the internal, the most important thing to do is the synergy among Ministry of Agriculture, the court, and CEC to prevent it earlier so that every policy, and program in agriculture would give the real things to food security, farmers’ welfare, and economy nationally.

He also emphasized that in the future, every activity or program in Ministry of Agriculture would be adjusted to the regulations and become the parts to maintain well.

“I am happy for having CEC and the court here. We do hope that our activity should be legal and we could prevent something out of law,” he said.

He also hoped that the court and CEC as the prevention coordinators could do assessment so that the policy and program in Ministry of Agriculture could run well and useful.

General Inspector in duty of Ministry of Agriculture, Bambang said that Ministry of Agriculture once a year commemorates Hakordia within the goal, to escalate the commitment, awareness, and care to make anti-corruption as a custom. Every program and service of agriculture could run well, free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism.

“Minister SYL reminded his officers that every program and service in agricultrue, since it is in plan, execution, and advantage should run well. The leads make the commitment of obedience in every officer and ease the execution of supervision in general inspectorate,” he said.

He also mentioned that as the follow up, his side supervised every program/activity and service in Ministry of Agriculture by audit, review, supervision, monitoring, evaluation, and others as the forms of early warning system. His side would keep increasing pro-active attitude to improve the governance in the ministry, identify and communicate risk and risk management, evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness internal control.

“It is not easy to fight for corruption. It could not be alone to fight for. Ministry of Agriculture needs support from CEC, the court and every supervisor to keep the synergy to make anti-corruption as the norm, to realize better, more independent, and modern agriculture to the people’s welfare,” he said.
