Agricom.id, DEPOK – Minister of Trade, Agus Suparmanto told that his side through Center of Education and Training or pusat pendidikan dan pelatihan (Pusdiklat) is committed to support the government’s prior program to create the qualified and competitive human resources (HR) in trade. This would make them ready to compete and face the challenges globally.

He told that when inaugurating the new building of Trade Pusdiklat in Sawangan, Depok, West Java, Monday, (31/8). Vice Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga and the echelon I officers in Ministry of Trade attended the event.

“Ministry of trade would work hard to encourage the prior programs of the government to create the excellent and competitive HR in trade. The building would be the spear to advance the trade HR,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also told that the paradigm of education and training changes to be the competency development. The conventional one should be more effective and efficient to advantage the information and technology. Besides, the learning model should advantage many sources, such as, the self-learning. The method innovation and learning should encourage the idea realization of “Smart Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) 2024”.

He also thought that the education and training are the investments to develop the competent HR. The competency is about the management, which means, the education, structural training, and leadership experience level. Besides, it needs technical competence, which means, the specialty in technical and functional training and education.

“The government officers should have the national knowledge, namely to understand pluralism in religion, tribe, and culture in Indonesia. This would be the cultural social competence,” he said.

Minister Agus also told that the Pusdiklat needs to design the training to create the qualified officers. The training should start by the measured need analysis. The plan training should consider the good programs, curriculum, the syllabus of training based on the real competence. It needs to evaluate objectively and within data base to get the long term – impacts.

“We would support the training and education institutions, including Pusdiklat Perdagangan to improve to be ready to face the changes. The Pusdiklat Perdagangan should be able to get into new era within more professional, responsive, and play the big roles to increase the HR nationally,” he said.

General Secretary, Suhanto told that Pusdiklat Perdagangan needs to have the qualified infrastructures so that the learning process could run well and there would be effective goals. The initiation to build Pusdiklat Perdagangan is the same with the available areas and the needs of class rooms.

“The building was initiated in 2017. The numbers of training at the time in the Pusdiklat Perdagangan got more and more. The realization is to increase the facility and service of Pusdiklat,” Suhanto said.

The Launching of E-Learning Kudagang

After inaugurating the Pusdiklat Perdagangan, Minister Agus launched e-learning kompetensi unggul perdagangan (Kudagang). Kudagang is the system developed using learning management system (LMS) to ease ministry of trade and the public to learn online trade system.

 “E-learning Kudagang has complete dashboard to see the learning progress, calendar, and tape of learning activity,” Minister Agus said.

While Suhanto said that the advantages of LMS Kudagang are, it is easy to operate both by the students and the trainers; it is easy to be done by the manager, and tutors in each unit; it is integrated by the video conference, such as, zoom for webinar; there are lots of forum features to discuss among the teachers; it has more than 120 translations; and it is the latest and interactive material.
