Agricom.id, JAKARTA - Ministry of Agriculture Indonesian Republic got the first rank as the best ministry to manage the public information and communication. Komisi Informasi Publik (KIP) gave it after series of long assessment, monitoring, evaluating the public information openness in 2020. Ministry of Agriculture hit the first position within numbers reaching 97,99.

Knowing this, Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) told that the open information is part of the modern running management which is adjustable with the running agricultural development process. SYL thought that one condition about public information is by giving transparency.

"Transparency in Ministry of Agriculture showed the good and the bad of our work for all these years. These are our commitments to run the vision of public information openness,” SYL said, Wednesday (25/11/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

SYL also mentioned that the open information becomes important part and the benchmark to maintain the work rhythm of the officers. This kind of form runs not only in the office but also when working in the fields in other districts or cities.

“That is why the participation of Ministry of Agriculture in the public information would develop a system that the people could access information and could even participate in it. It means, everyone could know the passive regulation approach until the standard operational procedure which runs within,” he said.

For information, the award to Ministry of Agriculture is part of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Openness. This is done to know the implementation about Laws No. 14 / 2008 about Public Information Openness to the Public Agency.

Besides, the predicate of informative public agency is the highest cluster in the monitoring and evaluation result of public information openness. It was joined by 348 public agencies which consisted of ministries, provinces, enterprises, non-structural agencies, universities, non-ministry agency, and parties,

Head of Public Information and Relation, Ministry of Agriculture, Kuntoro Boga Andri thanked everyone for noticing the work of every officer in Ministry of Agriculture. In the future, he continued that his side would increase the communication among other ministries and institutions.

“I do thank the award. Hopefully that in the future, we could work better and communicate every program in Ministry of Agriculture faster and more effective,” he said.

Kuntoro also told that the award completes the success of Ministry of Agriculture to show the public information and relation management. “Once again, I thank you because we got the same thing in last year from communication and information agency,” he said. (A2)
