SYL Urged Polbangtan to Make the Job Maker and Ready to Work HR

Agricom.id, GOWA – Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) urged Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian (Polbangtan) to keep innovating to make the ready to work and job maker human resources (HR) when they are in the society. This is the important agenda to realize knowing that the agriculture is the main sector to develop the economy.

"Polbangtan is one of the agricultural power in the future and proposes the advocacy education to prepare the agriculture which should develop better, modern, could develop the farmers’ independency in many regions and nationally for our needs,” he said when inaugurating the infrastructures of Polbangtan Gowa, South Sulawesi, Wednesday night (29/7/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

The former Governor of South Sulawesi who is famously known as SYL also emphasized that Polbangtan could change the main agenda in agriculture and adapt with the challenges both in the science, research, knowledge, and technology. He also urged that the graduates from Polbangtan should be the entrepreneurs of agriculture in the regions and give the positive energy to the agriculture and even should be the actors of job makers.

“The briefing to give is about nationalism, religion as the philosophic approach, and the most important thing is the learning about agriculture mechanism and technology,” SYL said.

Meanwhile, Head of Badan Penyuluhan dan Pengembangan SDM Pertanian (BPPSDMP), Ministry of Agriculture, Dedy Nursyamsi said that Polbangtan Gowa is the place for the millennial farmers who would continue developing the agriculture.

“In the future, the alumni of Polbangtan Gowa would be as qualified jobseeker and job creature," Dedy said.

He also emphasized that the infrastructure development in Polbangtan would keep running to develop the future agriculture, particularly heading to the better, more independent and modern agriculture.

He also mentioned that the HR of Polbangtan should have studied about the agriculture development in 4.0 technology to be familiarly used.

“In special Polbangtan should focus to advocacy and applied education so that the alumni would really master the applied technology innovation,” he said.

He also mentioned that Polbangtan Gowa has complete infrastructures, such as, the campus, boarding house, and teaching factory to process the plantation harvest. There is teaching factory in Bone, such as, the animals’ cages within large capacity.

“We should use the infrastructure to implement the youth entrepreneur service (YES). This program is about to educate the millennial farmers together with the agriculture young entrepreneur development,” he said.
