Agricom.id, JAKARTA – One way of Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesian Republic to increase the qualified food access for the people in the Covid-19 pandemic is by expanding the farmers’ product marketing through optimizing Pasar Mitra Tani (PMT) or known as Toko Tani Indonesia Center (TTIC).

As the facility to introduce the qualified food products directly from the farmers within economic price, PMT is also done in Pasar Tani Goes To Mall held in some big malls in Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor.

PMT is running in Mall of Indonesia, Jakarta on 5 – 15 November 2020, Margo City Depok on 9 - 13 November 2020, Yogya Departement Store Bogor on 18 - 22 November 2020, and Kuningan City Jakarta on 3 – 13 Desember 2020.

Head of Badan Ketahanan Pangan, Indonesian Republic, Agung Hendriadi said that the presence of PMT in Pasar Tani Goes To Mall is one way to get the food access directly from the farmers to the consumers.

“The joint groups sell their food products in the mall. This is one way to encourage the additional values of what the farmers produced to get better income and this is the consent of Minster of Agriculture, Indonesian Republic, Syahrul Yasin Limpo,” Agung told, Tuesday (10/11/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He did hope that the food products in PMT/TTIC in Pasar Tani Goes to Mall could reach ever level of the society to get direct access from the farmers.

“PMT is hoped to give the positive to the people, that is, the people could get the qualified food material,” he said.

Head of Pusat Distribusi dan Cadangan Pangan, Risfaheri said that PMT provides 10 strategic/main foods, such as, rice, onion, garlic, red chili, curly chili, hen meat, cow meat, egg, and cooking oil.

“Not only that, PMT also provides the qualified and premium food products, such as, organic rice, and premium sugar ant,” Risfaheri said.

The food products produced by the farmers in PMT are: rice (Rp 8.800/kg), cooking oil (Rp 11.000/pack), sugar (Rp 12.500/kg), red chili (Rp 10.000/pack), curly red chili (Rp 10.000/pack), and onion (Rp 15.000/pack). (A2)
