The Exports in November 2020 Significantly Increased

Agricom.id, JAKARTA – The agricultural exports increased significantly in November 2020. Central Bureau of Statistic (CBS) released it on Tuesday (15/2). Agricultural exports increased 6,33 percent in month of month (MoM) and increased up to 33,33 percent in year on year (YoY).

Head of Public Relation and Information Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture Indonesian Republic, Kuntoro Boga Andri said that the agricultural exports in November 2020 showed that the programs in Ministry of Agriculture led by Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) really gave the real results to develop the economy nationally and welfare the farmers. The prior programs are increasing the production and urging the exports through Gerakan Tiga Kali Ekspor (Gratieks) and showed the good results in some last months.

“The agricultural development acceleration led by Minister SYL could mobilize every line of power to increase the exports and agriculture is the economic power, for instance, developing the partnership synergy, farmers’ corporate, online license service, millennial farmers’ entrepreneurship, making downstream products in home and small industries,” he said in Jakarta, Tuesday, (15/12/20) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also mentioned that the increasing exports in November 2020 were from many products, such as, spices, fruits, cloves, swift’s nests, and non-wood forest results.

“In the future, by the program and facilities provided by Ministry of Agriculture, such as, kredit usaha rakyat (KUR), cluster/region, and corporates within competition orientation, the millennial farmers, the agricultural product exports would be developing more,” he said.

Head of CBS, Kecuk Suhariyanto said that in January–November 2020, non – oil and gas exports from Indonesia based on the industrial sectors also increased 1,46 percent compared to those in 2019. Agricultural exports took part about 13,64 percent.

"The countries to export were China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, and India. For non – oil and gas exports, China dominated reaching about 22,87 percent," he said. (A2)
