Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Corruption Eradication Commission (CEC) did appreciate the corruption prevention done by officers of Ministry of Agriculture Indonesian Republic in one last year. CEC always reminded Ministry of Agriculture that every officer should have anti-corruption spirit both among the officers, to the higher level, and in their family.

More than that CEC also thought that the transparency runs well for all these years. The people could access every information widely.

Deputy of Internal Supervision and People’s Complaint, CEC, Herry Muryanto said that the corruption is something to prevent knowing that the future would be more difficult namely about the progress in Indonesia, specifically in the agricultural sector.

He also mentioned that the budget from the country is in big numbers and should be used as good as possible to accommodate the people’s interests.

“There would be many kinds of temptation from every line. That is why I agree with what Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo told that this is the moment for us to increase the awareness of anti-corruption,” Herry said, Friday (18/12/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also thought that many officers did corruption for they could not stand on the temptation which happens in every single second. Many officers did the good but everything is gone in seconds for they could not sustain the temptation.

“I do really hope that this would not happen in Ministry of Agriculture and I thought, the transparency runs well,” he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) thanked for CEC keeps supervising the institutions. He hoped that CEC would develop his officers in Ministry of Agriculture so that the programs could run well.

"We want that every activity and program runs based on the standard. It has to obey the regulations and our officers do not corrupt. On the other hand, we also take other aspiration that our units in Ministry of Agriculture could develop,” he said.

SYL also thought that every system is intentionally made to realize transparency and accountability of work and service and get closer to the clean, no charge, no gratification service in agriculture.

“I thank you, every officer in general inspectorate for supervising every activity and program in Ministry of Agriculture and everything could run well,” he said. (A2)
