Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Ministry of agriculture keeps trying to prepare the archives completely by advantaging the available resources.
General Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture, Momon Rusmono said that to make the archives system in ministry of agriculture, there has been regulation, that is, Laws No. 43 / 2009, Article 33 about the Archives.
“Our commitment to develop the archives system in ministry of agriculture is the regulation about archives classification,” he said in the second Diskusi Kontemporer Nasional Kearsipan, Friday, (2/10) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
To make the better system of archives, he told that ministry of agriculture has more than 150 archivists within 4 ‘madya’ archivists. Momon hoped that in the future there would be ‘madya’ archivist in each level.
“We do hope that they could do develop archives in their own level,” he said.
It is important to have archives because the next generations would not know that the predecessor did to develop the country in the old days without the authentic archives.
The historical authentic archives, for instance, is when Indonesia succeeded to fulfill the rice self-sufficiency told in the 23rd Food Agriculture Organization conference in Rome, Italy on 14 November 1984.
“Let us make commitment, let us care about making the archives well for the glory of our nation, Indonesia,” he said. (A2)
