Agricom.id, DENPASAR – Many things are done to boost the agriculture export, such as, by developing the market place that the millennial farmers manage.

“Now we do farming within Farmer App. To sell it, we use Bali Organik Subak (BOS) Fresh Retail, and for the fund, we have nabung tani to help the farmers who do have much money,” Chairman of Komunitas Petani Muda Keren (PMK), Agung Weda, Wednesday, (26/2/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

Through Bali Organik Subak (BOS), he continued, his side exported mangosteen since 2018 and was the biggest in volume in Bali and it reached almost 100 billion rupiah.

“The mangosteen export reached almost 100 billion rupiah within about 850 tons. We exported sawo, avocado, and mango. We did export the mango to Singapore,” he as the owner of BOS, said.

He thought that this year he has 1500 tons of mangoes to export and about 300 tons that had been exported to Vietnam. Besides the mangoes, he exported rambutan to Middle East.

“We are developing specific avocado, alligator avocado, and butter ones. We exported to Cambodia. Many want in the local markets,” he said.

In the same spot, Director of National Commodity Market, Sukam Pawardi said that the agriculture in Indonesia has the sophisticated system within the presence and operational of Agriculture War Room (AWR) and Komando Strategi Pembangunan Pertanian (Kostratani) that could run in the same time with BOS.

He thought that AWR and Kostratani would be successful and the people would admit the roles if they know what to do and what the markets demand on.

"BOS is the private company. It would not stand and operate alone or harvest from its own areas. It must have connection with the farmers that our officers educated from Kostratani, and the counselors should be familiar with BOS too,” he said.

"BOS is managed and operated by the young men in information and technology - base. They really understand about the markets. The young entrepreneurs or others should know this to prepare the products to the market needs,” he said. (A2)
