Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) ensured that the stocks of daily food are good heading to Lebaran. He did inspection to 10 markets in Jakarta, and did bazaar so that the people should not be panic buying.
“I ensured that based on the calculation, Insya Allah, 11 daily needs are available in the markets if the people would not be panic buying,” he said when making the bazaar in Toko Tani Indonesia Center (TTIC), Pasar Minggu, Jakarta, Thursday (19/03/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
Syahrul emphasized that ministry of agriculture, together with the partners would cooperate to provide the stocks of food in the markets. He also took every businessman to maintain the stable price in the markets.
“There should be no person or businessman who wants to take his own profits and make the people panic,” he emphasized.
He also told that the bazaar was to ensure the people if the daily food needs are in good condition and the bazaar would be held out of Jakarta.
"Today, we do bazaar in Jakarta. But do not buy too many because if we consume sugar too much, we would be diabetes,” he said.
Head of Badan Ketahanan Pangan (BKP), Ministry of agriculture, Agung Hendriadi said that in DKI Jakarta for special, ministry of agriculture would do bazaar in 49 markets.
“But today we should limit in 10 markets in the first place,” he said.
In the bazaar, 3 main daily needs were sold in cheap price, they were, sugar reaching 2 tons about Rp 12.500/kg, rice about 2 tons about Rp 8.500/Kg, and egg reaching 2,5 tons about Rp 23.000/kg.
The bazaars were done in Pasar Kalideres, Pasar Baru Metro, Pasar Kalibaru, Pasar Tanah Abang, Pasar Gondangdia, Pasar Pluit, Pasar Glodok, Pasar Tebet Barat, Pasar Rawa Badak, Pasar Johar Baru, and Toko Tani Indonesia Center (TTIC) Pasar Minggu.
"Insya Allah, by the bazaars we could control the price, namely, the sugar, egg, and rice. I thank you, everyone. Everything happens because of our work hard,” Agung said. (A2)
