Agricom.id, JAKARTA – The ambassador of millennial farmer or Duta Petani Milenial (DPM) managed by Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesian Republic did action when seeing the epidemic of corona virus (Covid – 19) that attacks many countries, including Indonesia. There was the good initiation that they launched, “Gebrakan Duta Petani Milenial Sigap Covid-19” which was realized in the online service program “AYOMART” to sell the food products to the people directly from the farmers.

The initiation derived from the concern of DPM to the people’s condition namely the farmers because of the spread of Covid – 19. DPM wants to help ministry of agriculture which still fights for the food availability for the citizens of Indonesia. DPM wants to do real things and contributes to the nation. “We do not want that after DPM was officially made, to be the spectators. After talking to mbak Jatu Barmawati (DPM and the mangosteen exporter) and mas Hendra (DPM Market Intelligent), we agreed to contribute by providing the food needs. We gathered kinds of agricultural products from every DPM in many regions and to start the program, we would focus in DKI Jakarta and would continue to other regions,” Sandi Octa Susila said as one of the horticulture entrepreneur from Cianjur who becomes the DPM and got the KICK ANDY HEROES 2020 award.

Sandi also said that the goal of the service is about to provide the food availability when the people are in panic buying. The agricultural products are vegetable soup, acid vegetable, ‘empon-empon’, and others. “To muffle the panic buying in the society, we would launch some agricultural product packages. The people would only order through the contact person in the official announcement or just click what they need in the website that we provide. We would deliver the cheap packages by staying at home,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

Jatu Barmawati said that the service program is simple. “Our friend in DPM who have the products would coordinate and we would provide the display in website, ayomart.id for the products around Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi to drop (the products) to my packing house and would be distributed to the consumers in the nearest spot,” she said.

When the Covid – 19 spreads, one interesting agricultural product, according to the research that could prevent the infection, is ‘empon-‘empon’. It consists of  curcuma, ginger, turmeric, and red ginger. “We would distribute the product from ‘AYOMART’. We would package the herbs of ‘empon-empon’ and the people would process it at home only,” Sandi said.

While the other agricultural products, such as, coffee, and others, such as, fresh vegetables, local fresh fruit, organic rice, eggs, herbal medicine, and spices would be distributed by the service within the numbers: 0819-1000-6922 or www.ayomart.id

It is hoped that by the idea from DPM, Ministry of Agriculture, the people would be easier to get the agricultural and food products by staying at home only. The agricultural products are the power to face the attack of Covid – 19. “Hopefully, this is our will to help the people when the Covid – 19 spreads.
