Agricom.id, JAKARTA - Ministry of agriculture tries to increase the anticipation of corona virus (Covid-19) spread, namely in the head quarter of ministry of agriculture to follow the instruction of President Joko Widodo. The prevention is done from the entrance by making disinfectant booth and spray disinfectant to everyone who wants to get in the office area, both the officers and non - officers.

Head of Public and Tool Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Maman Suherman said that the prevention was directly told by Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo to protect the government’s officers in the ministry. The goal is to ensure that everyone who wants to get in the office is free from the virus which may attach at their cloth, hair, and legs that could be potential as the media to spread Covid-19.

“This is about to protect the officers in ministry of agriculture and the guests who come here. We make the disinfectant booth and when he enters our office or room, he is clean,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also mentioned that this is crucial knowing that ministry of agriculture is one public instance which interacts with many people, namely in the license process. He thought that the door access is the important part and should be tightly supervised so that the ministry could succeed the spread of Covid -19.

“We put the booth in every entrance or out. There are four, they are, two in the main entrance and two are in the entrance next to Jalan T.B Simatupang,” Maman said.

He also mentioned that the ministry has made a place to wash hand within hand sanitizer in every lift in every floor so that someone’s hands are clean. And every end hour, we spray disinfectant in every office so that the virus could not survive and the room is safe.

Rahman, one man who works to spray the disinfectant in the booth explained that the spray would keep running until everything is back to normal. He thought that it is about safety. The virus spreads fast directly or indirectly from one to another.

“We are interacting with many here. It could be the friend, workers, or guests, and we do not know, if he is the carrier or not. This is our anticipation,” he said.

The disinfectant spray is easy. In the booth, there has been disinfectant liquid and fan. The fan operates and spread the disinfectant. It is suggested that as long as being in the booth, everyone should close the eyes and hold breath. Try not to breathe the disinfectant liquid.

“After that we need to turn around for 360 degree so that our body is fully sprayed from the head to the toe. Then walk normally to the end of the booth,” he said.

In the same spot, Dani, the employee of PT Santani Sejahtera, who was sprayed in the entrance, told that she was protected from the virus spread. She also told that it is better if other public places have the same treatment where the physical contact could highly take place, such as, the stop of TransJakarta.

“The initiation is good. I never get sprayed by the disinfectant like before. This is the first time for me. It is better if the places where the spread of virus highly takes place have the same tools,” she said. (A2)
