Agricom.id, JAKARTA  - Corona virus (Covid-19) hits many countries, including Indonesia. The government of Indonesia also suggested to run the protocol of covid – 19 handling, such as, by minimizing the activity out of home.

Knowing this, one millennial farmer, Sandi Octa Susila made the breakthrough to provide the agriculture food that the people could get without going out from home. The people need write message about everything they need from the website or whatsapp and would be delivered to the address.

“We keep developing and doing the best to reach every spot in many regions in Indonesia, completing every product. We have prepared the commodities and the processed ones,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

The man who is familiar with ‘Kang Sandi’ also asked the people not to worry about the food availability. He himself has prepared 141 kinds of agriculture products to sell to the people directly. The marketing is directly in cooperation with other millennial farmers.

The pandemic of Covid-19, for him, is the chance for the farmers in Indonesia and makes the local products as the hosts in the country. The people are fond of agriculture products for being fresher, and safer. The nutritionists suggested that the people should consume the healthy and full of nutrition products to increase the immunity of the body to fight for the Covid-19.

“Dear farmers wherever you are, this is our moment to strengthen the food availability for many people. Do not give up, keep producing. The agriculture is the spear to face the epidemic of Covid-19,” he said.

Sandi is popular enough and as the role model for the millennial farmers. Ministry of agriculture inaugurated him as one of Millennial Farmer Ambassador. In this year too he got Kick Andy Heroes Award 2020.

He got many achievements. He is the owner of Mitra Tani Parahyangan which supplies the agricultural products to 25 hotels in Area Puncak, Bogor and Jakarta. He also develops the agro-tourism concept through P4S Mitra Tani Parahyangan.

Regent of Cianjur, through Head of Agriculture Agency took Sandy as the Director of Pengelola Sub Terminal Agribisnis (STA) in Cigombong – Cianjur. He also launched Outlet One Stop Shopping (OOSS) or one stop management to agriculture products.

He succeeded to develop 385 farmers within 141 products. “In the beginning, I just coordinated 10 farmers. It got more to be 20 and Alhamdulillah, there are 385 farmers within 141 products. But it is not as easy as imagined,” he said. (A2)
