Agricom.id, JAMBI – The farmers, in Village of Pudak, Sub district of Kumpeh Ulu, District of Muaro, Jambi Province, start doing the harvest massively. In the location, the variety, VUB Inpara 3 which was planted by the Jarwo 4:1 system could produce the better. The harvest would be in phase by using the technology to ease the grain chopping.
Head of Agriculture Technology Study Agency, Jambi province, Rustam said that the harvest could produce more than 6,8 tons per hectare of paddy while the total areas reaching about 25 hectares.
"It is hoped that by advantaging the technology, Jambi could be the motor of development nationally and could contribute to the economy of the country,” he said, Thursday (26/3/2020), in the press conference to Agricom.id.
He also mentioned that Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo has made Komando Strategi Pembangunan Pertanian (Kostratani) in every village and sub district. It would be as the monitor room which connects to the Agriculture War Room (AWR) in the head quarter of ministry of agriculture.
"Kostratani would protect the data, give the counseling material, develop the network, and even advantage the agriculture system tools in online – base and could be the place to develop the agriculture in 4.0 – base in bottom – up system," he said.
Governor of Jambi, Fachrori Umar who attended the event told that the massive harvest could be the spirit to do the better agriculture programs.
“Emphasizing the agriculture could support the realization of Jambi Tuntas 2021, which means, Tertib, Unggul, Nyaman, Tangguh, Adil, dan Sejahtera," he said.
He also mentioned that to realize the programs, Jambi through The Food Plantation, Horticulture, and Livestock Agency, Jambi Province would allocate the production infrastructure tools to the district of Muaro.
"We would give helps, such as, the soybean, paddy, corn, bean, union, cassava, chily, and orange seeds. The others are the loan of tools, rehabilitation of the irrigation, optimizing the peat, drugs for the animals, and owl houses,” he said.
For information, Jambi in 2019 succeeded to produce 309.932 tons of dry grain from 69.536 hectares. If the production was conversed to be rice, the food consumption of the people in 2019 could be reaching about 178.364 tons. (A2)
