Agricom.id, JAKARTA – The suggestion of the government to stay at home during the pandemic of corona virus (Covid-19) is positive for the agriculture start up in smart phone application technology. This is the good approach from the stakeholders to ease the service for the consumers.
Director of Operational of Kedai Sayur Indonesia, Ahmad Supriyadi said that the ‘stay at home’ policy makes the buying order of the agriculture products in Kedai Sayur significantly increase.
“Thought the buying from the market ‘business to business’, such as, hotel, restaurant, café, and catering decreased, the consumers or individuals’ demands increased and our business flows now focus to ‘business to consumers’ (B2C)," he said, Friday (10/4/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
He also explained that during the pandemic of Covid-19 in Indonesia took place, all of a sudden, the customer behavior change – from the traditional method to be the online one.
It is lucky for Supriyadi for having planned it many years ago. He analyzed the products during the pandemic, which are in high demand category and he monitored the sourcing and price.
“We have prepared it case by case for the next things to do so that the online transaction increases. And when the people get worried to go out, we are here to give solution,” he said.
“Just the same with the slogan of Kedai Sayur, ‘sayurnya dianter aja’, we would give the best service to the consumers. The operational teams have been prepared so that we could give maximal one and play the important role in the pandemic to the people,” he said.
But he thought that this nowadays situation is the challenges and the opportunity for the business. He needs to get the solution how to serve the consumers and adapt with the changes.
“On the other hand, this is the opportunity to increase the existence of Kedai Sayur itself and to develop our business flow. We have prepared the special application to accommodate what the consumers want and we would launch it to ease the orders in Kedai Sayur," he said.
For information, Kedai Sayur is the start-up which has been running since 2018 within the concept, offering the food stocks and delivery service to the consumers. Its targets are B2B (vegetables sellers, hotel, restaurant, café, and catering), and B2C, such as, housing consumers, or individuals,
About this, ministry of agriculture pointed the young entrepreneurs to be Duta Petani Milenial (DPM) Sigap Corona. In their work, DPM should contribute to provide the food in every region in Indonesia to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo said that DPM is the strong evidence that the agriculture is the important sector to face the crisis, including the pandemic of Covid-19. That is why the production should not stop to help the people’s daily needs.
“The agriculture should not stop namely when fighting for the pandemic of Covid-19. It is the time to be the heroes to save the nation. One thing for sure, do not let the food postponed,” he said. (A2)
