Agricom.id, BOGOR – Chief of Army III/Siliwangi, General Major of Army Nugroho Budi Wiryanto is ready to secure the distribution of free rice which is distributed through anjungan tunai mandiri (ATM) Beras of Ministry of Agriculture, to thousands of poor people in each army office in West Java.

H said that the army fully supports what ministry of agriculture does to provide the daily needs during the epidemic of corona virus (Covid-19), in the fasting days, and the preparation of lebaran.

"We should fully support the ATM Beras for it helps the procurement of daily needs to the poor people namely who live around the army offices,” he said, Monday (27/4/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He thought that the ATM Pertanian is important to help the program 9 pintu of the Covid emergency which the Provincial Government of West Java prepared. He hoped that the ATM could be available in the centers where the poor people live.

"In Bogor itself, there are two ATM Beras, right? One is in City of Bogor and the other is in District of Bogor. But for the future, if it is multiplied or not, we would wait for the lead from the Chief of Army and minister of agriculture," he said.

For information, the Provincial Government of West Java prepared 9 pintu of Covid-19 emergency. The 9 pintu are advantaging the PKH (program keluarga harapan) card, advantaging the helps of sembako (9 daily needs) card, advantaging the helps of pre-work card, the helps of village fund, the helps of ministry of social, and the helps of President Joko Widodo for the nomads during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The ATM Pertanian Sikomandan supports the 9 pintu of Covid emergency. I think that it is the very good one to help the poor people,” he said.

In the previous, Minister of Agriculture, SyahruI Yasin Limpo (SYL) monitored the rice distribution through ATM Pertanian Sikomandan put in Army 0621, District of Bogor, West Java, Sunday (26/4/2020). The ATM has operational capacity up to 1,5 tons per day which would be distributed to 1000 people who have cards and it would be for the next two months.

"The ATM Beras is my plan with the Chief of Army to support the people who are hit by Covid-19 and those who do not get the helps from many sides. This is the turn of the chief and his officers to help the people,” he ended his words. (A2)
