Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Tea is one plantation commodity that many are interest in though the trade decreases because of the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. Many tea innovations are the keys why the markets keep buying the commodity. Tea which is full of advantages for the body is not processed to drink but also used to other functions, such as, the fragrance, medical mixture, and the material to matrass within the heat that many spas use.
This is the same with what Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) told, which is, the innovation implementation to advance the agriculture sectors. The innovation should be part of breakthrough to increase the competitiveness to support the agriculture product exports.
“To support the exports, Ministry of Agriculture also does the breakthrough, starting from the technology advantage in the downstream sectors, efficient production cost, competition through modernization,” SYL said when releasing the exports of agriculture products in Manado, last April, as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.
One processed tea is the Genmaicha. It is produced by Arafah Tea of Bandung. It is believed to prevent and reduce the join ailment.
The owner of Arafah Tea, Ifah Syarifah said that if someone regularly drinks 600 milliliters or three cups of Genmaicha tea in every single day, the stiffness in the joint of hands and legs because of rheumatics would abate.
Genmaicha, Ifah continued, is the tea from yabugita sinensis leaves which grow in 1.000 meters above the sea level. “The clone tea of sinensis should grow in the certain level of height within the good soil nutrient to produce the specific flavor of tea,” Ifah Syarifah said, Monday (11/5/2020).
Ifah also mentioned that the leaves are relatively small but thick. It needs full attention to nurse because the sinensis clone would produce flavorful and tasty premium tea. In its origin, Japan, the tea is produced by using steam so that the aroma is flavorful and tasty, and its L-Theanin is tasteful. In general the tea is consumed by mixing roasted brown rice which is full of collagen.
“Genmaicha steam green tea mixed by roasted brown rice within high collagen could heal the joint ailment in the knee because of the collagen in our body reduces,” she said.
She also mentioned that the leaves of Genmaicha are diuretic herbals. It could clean the toxic in the kidney by waging the peed and could press the rheumatic symptoms.
“Drinking three cups of Genmaicha in every single day, Insya Allah, the body would be fresh, the ailment in the joint would be no more, the peed runs well, the kidney would be healthy. It is safe to drink every day,” she said.
In the other occasion, General Director of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono did appreciate the innovations of horticulture products done by the producers. He thought that it is important to innovate to fulfill the consumers’ needs and compete locally or globally.
“The innovation both in the downstream and upstream sectors, should notice the quality standards that the buyer countries need. The important thing is that the innovation should notice the sustainability both in business technically and in environment perspective,” he said. (A2)
