Agricom.id, SERANG – Ministry of Trade keeps doing the best to realize the stable daily stock price heading to Lebaran in the red zone pandemic of corona virus (Covid-19), including in Banten Province. General Inspector of Ministry of Trade, Srie Agustina told this when directly monitoring the sugar operation done by Perum Bulong, and the stocks and the price in Pasar Rau, Monday (18/5), Serang, Banten Province.

"In general the price of daily needs in Pasar Rau is stable. The sugar operation done by Perum Bulog to the sugar sellers should cut of the distribution of sugar and it could immediately be the same as the reference, Rp 12.500/kg," she said, as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.

Today (18/5) in Pasar Rau, Bulog supplied about 1,4 tons of sugar to seven sugar sellers who got about 200 kg of sugar to be sold based on the reference that the government decided, Rp 12.500/kg. Besides Pasar Rau, Bulog would supply the sugar to the other markets, they are, Pasar Lama, Pasar Kranggot, and Pasar Petir.

She also mentioned that Bulog and some Enterprises and the producers who are assigned by the government should actually do price stabilization. The sugar mechanism to the sellers could accelerate the cheaper sugar and in the Lebaran 1441 H, it is normal again. Ministry of Trade does appreciate the fast work of Bulog for doing operation in many regions in Indonesia, and the same efforts that the other producers have done.

The daily needs in Banten are stable in price, such as, medium rice about Rp 10.000/kg, cow meat about Rp 119.000/kg, egg about Rp 24.000/kg, hen meat about Rp 34.000/kg, chili about Rp 28.000/kg, garlic about R p31.200/kg, and cooking oil about Rp 10.800/liter. The sugar starts decreasing from Rp 19.000/kg to be Rp 16.500/kg and could be Rp 12.500/kg. The onion is expensive still about Rp 51.000/kg compared to the reference, which is Rp 32.000/kg.

"The main work of Ministry of Trade in the pandemic is that to ensure the producers, the consumers, the traders get minimal impacts of the pandemic, namely heading to Lebaran 1441 H. It needs anticipation to the goods scarcity or the increasing price of daily needs. We keep doing the best to facilitate and support every side so that we all together could pass the situation,” she said. (A2)
