Agricom.di, JAKARTA – General Directur of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono urged that every staff could do breakthrough and innovation based on what Minister of Agriculture, SyahruI Yasin Limpo told. Kasdi mentioned that ministry of agriculture led by Minister Syahrul has six main programs in the plantation for the next five years.

“The programs are to develop the seed logistic; increase the product, productivity, area optimization; increase the additional value of competitiveness and markets,” Kasdi said in the Agriculture Meeting in the auditorium of Ministry of Agriculture, Jakarta, Monday, (13/7/2020) as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.

He also mentioned that the other programs are to do plantation modernization and stakeholder optimization; increase the capacity of human resources and planters’ economic institutions. He thought that the budget spent was dominant to the seed logistic program which reached Rp 442,8 billion of Rp 1,192 billion.

"To increase the production, we spent Rp 332 billion, stakeholder optimization reaching Rp 170 billion, increasing the additional value of competitiveness and market reaching Rp 152 billion, increasing the human resources and planters’ economic institutions reaching Rp 74 billion, and plantation modernization reaching Rp 20 billion," Kasdi said

In the same meeting, General Director of Food Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture, Suwandi said that there are six prior things to do. They refer to the long term vision in the ministry.

The six focuses are about to develop the paddy, corn, and other cereal production; cultivate soybean, and kinds of bulbs; nurse the seeds; protect the plantations from the plant disturbing organism and PDI

“We would focus to the post-harvest activity; process and market the food plantation harvest; the salary, office operational; manage the officers, field officer salary; monitoring and evaluation

Head of Badan Sumber Daya Manusia Pertanian (BPSDMP), Dedi Nursyamsi told that the indicator work of agriculture human resources keep increasing their quality.

He thought, the increasing quality happened because ministry of agriculture also focused to the increasing productivity which is integrated with the human resource sustainability and markets for all these years. Besides, ministry of agriculture would keep confirming the farmers’ data base and education.

“The education and vocation training in agriculture would prioritize the every activity in industrial – base by reforming the education, vocation, and strengthening the competence certificate system,” he said.

General Director of Agriculture Infrastructure represented by Director of Agriculture System Tool, Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Nur Alam Syah targeted that the food availability would increase significantly. He also targeted, the access and food consumption quality would be better. The targets are about to produce paddy reaching 62,5 million tons of drilled dry grain, corn production reaching 25,38 million tons of dry shelled, cow/buffalo meat production reaching 463,22 thousand tons.

"We rehabilitated the tertiary irrigation covering 269.884 hectares (ha), pumping irrigation reaching 1.100 units, piped irrigation reaching 138 units, agriculture reservoir reaching 600 units, area optimization covering 100.000 ha, and development from the jalan usaha tani (JUT) rehabilitation covering 20.000 ha," he said.
