Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) took the people and those who do agriculture to advantage the digital approach to increase the agriculture production. He thought that the online system approach is a must namely heading to new normal era.

“Many years ago, to know something in the regions spent many days but now we have the facility,” SYL said when doing Coordination in General Directorate of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture with provincial food plantation and horticulture  agencies whole over Indonesia in Jakarta, Friday, (17/7/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

Minister SYL told that the online system could be used to get the knowledge to develop the better horticulture. He also asked that every region should be well prepared with the online system and the facility.

“I need that the officers in horticulture should directly help the people to be better. We have to contribute vertically and horizontally. Tell them how to cultivate and develop the expensive plantations,” he said.

He also mentioned that the horticulture is one sub sector of agriculture within lots of benefits. There are tropical fruits, vegetables, and plantations that many countries do not develop.

For information, the fruits and vegetables from Indonesia could compete internationally. It is proven by the consistent increasing exports in every month.

“This is the era with blessing and I am very happy if the regions could implement it. Wait for me in your region because I check it in person,” he said. (A2)
