Agricom.id, JAKARTA – The small and medium businessmen are enthusiastic to welcome ‘Gerakan Diversifikasi Dan Ekspose UMKM Pangan Lokal’ held in the yard of Gedung PIA, Ministry of Agriculture, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/8/2020).
The event attended by Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) did the local bazar and socialization to food diversification.
Founder and distributor of Three-P Retail, Mirza said that this helps the small and medium businessmen to make the local food as the source (of food0 and profits. More than that, the action would be very helpful for the smallholders who plant the local food, such as, bulbs, cassava, and sago.
“We want that our local food could be the source of food for everyone. My company focuses to sell and buy the local food – cassava, and bulb,” he said, Wednesday morning.
He also mentioned that the products of Three-P Retail are sold to the big local markets but they could be sold to many countries. Three-P Retail produces kinds of chips of cassava and bulb, ‘combro’, and ‘crunchy’ bulb.
“Everything was produced by the local farmers in Cijeruk, Bogor. We empowered the local farmers within clear markets to sell their products. We support the food diversification for it is very useful for the people. Insyaallah we would get kredit usaha rakyat (KUR) too,” he said.
The other businessman, Agus Sudomo said that everyone should support food diversification to be the massive movement to optimize the nature in our country. He is optimist that this could be the movement nationally to fulfill the daily needs.
“I am sure that the food diversification would encourage the food action nationally because this is the way we could keep our local food well. That is why I take everyone to support and encourage this action to be the same action,” he said.
Knowing this, Minister SYL told that this action is the way of the government to encourage the various, healthy, balanced, and safe food consumption and procurement. It is hoped to be the representation of hope and needs of every people of Indonesia so that the food remains secure and confirms that the good country exists.
“We campaign the local food diversification as the culture wealth of our nation. It means that we have not only rice but also bulbs, corn, sorghum, potato, pumpkin, and others,” he said. (A2)
