Agricom.id, BOGOR - Ministry of agriculture confirmed the oration of research professors (Ministry of agriculture) which as the crystallization of thoughts in Research and Development Department, Ministry of Agriculture. The oration is hoped to stimulate the innovation and decision based on the science.

In his speech, Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo hoped that the research professors could play their roles to develop the junior researchers in agriculture.

“I do hope that the professors in agriculture could develop, motivate the junior researchers in the future, and I really honor you, sirs because the concepts of your thoughts and ideas are the same with what we do to realize the independent, better, and modern (IBM) agriculture,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

For information, the oration of the research professors were done by three expert researchs in Research and Development Department, Ministry of Agriculture, they are, Prof. (Riset). Dr. Ir. Saptana, MSi in Agricultural Economy and Social;  Prof. (Riset) Dr. Ir. Amran Muis, MS in Plantation Pests and Diseases, and Prof. (Riset).  Dr. Ir. Mat Syukur, MS in Agriculture Economy and Social.

“The recommendation to strengthen the agribusiness institution told by Prof. Saptana is important to encourage the agribusiness transformation to be the commercial and competitive business. The idea to control the integrated to corn told by Prof. Amran Muis should contribute to increase the corn production nationally. The innovation told by Prof.Mat Syukur in micro finance should increase the access of the farmers to get capital and their business could develop,” he said,

Minister Syahrul also hoped that the three research professors could be active as the developers and motivators for the junior researchers both in their expertise, identity, integrity, and professionalism.

For information, Prof. Saptana, Prof. Amran Muis, and Prof. Mat Syukur, were the 144^th, 145^th, and 146^th in Research and Development Department, Ministry of Agriculture and the 560^th, 561^th, and 562^th research professors nationally. There are 57 active research professors in the ministry as the government officers and the total government officers in the department reach 5698, (A2)
