Agricom.id, JAKARTA – The agricultural exports keep being positive though the pandemic still haunts. After July 2020 increased 24,10% compared to the previous month, the agriculture exports were from the livestock (poultry) products which was one container full of 6 tons of processed products belonging to PT. Malindo Food Delight and exported to Japan for the very first time.

When releasing the export, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo said that the agriculture of Indonesia is very potential to win the exports and the livestock processed products are potential to be developed as the mainstay exports.

“It means that we have capability to go forward, do not surrender to the pandemic to advance this nation and people. I am ready for that. I make sure that ministry of agriculture would always support everything. We should not see the numbers (to export). There is no ‘big’ without ‘small’ thing,” he said in the factory of PT. Malindo Food Delight – Kota Delta Mas, Cikarang, Tuesday (1/9) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He continued that the exports of chicken products could be the evidences that the chicken (poultry) industries in Indonesia are good and the products could be sold to Japan known as the tightest country in food security.

“The exports are achievement knowing that Japan is the tightest country in the food security. Every product we export today has veterinary health certificate (VHC) as the food security guarantee from Indonesia to Japan,” he said.

Minister Syahrul also told that the processed products in poultry – base in Japan or other country are widely open still. He hoped that everyone could smartly take the advantages because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“By our success to export to Japan, Indonesia would have confidence to export (the other products) to others. Just like the president told, everyone should do anything, no one remains still. The target is to increase 10 times. I do hope, we are consistent to maintain the quality and efficiency to be in synergy in the international markets,” he said.

He also told that the exports could be the strategic ways to develop the economy and pride of our nation. He hoped that the export chance could also open the cooperation of the businessmen within the independent breeders.

Director of PT. Malindo Group, Lau Joo Hwa who did accompany Minister Syahrul told that the first export of the food product to Japan would be the moment for everyone to develop the country and nation.

“Hopefully the exports could give the massive energy to us and everyone to get the other export countries. This is our way to support ministry of agriculture to triple the exports through ‘Gratieks (gerakan tiga kali eksport),” Joo Hwa said.

Head of Karantina Pertanian (Barantan), Ministry of Agriculture, Ali Jamil who did attend and give the health certificate told that the products did series of inspection in Karantina Pertanian Tanjung Priok.

The inspection were about the match of physics and documents. “For these are the processed products, the check was in the low risk and everything was held based on the export protocol that Japan regulated,” he said.
