Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Minister of Trade, Agus Suparmanto said that the sistem resi gudang (SRG) could be used to support the economic recovery in the regions as the impact of Covid-19. To realize the idea, ministry of trade and Government of South Sulawesi are committed to develop the SRG implementation in trade and industry sector within local commodity and natural resource – base. “Ministry of trade would do the best so that SRG could be used to recover the economy because of Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

Head of Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (Bappebti), Sidharta Utama has the same opinion and saw the SRG in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Tuesday – Wednesday (1-2/9). “The open information about the stocks and quality standard in SRG would make bigger trust and safety in the trade. That is why ministry of trade and Government of South Sulawesi encouraged the businessmen in this province to advantage SRG better to support the exports,” he said when doing technical meeting with the businessmen in districts/cities in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Wednesday (2/9) as part of monitoring series, as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.

The results showed that many SRG run well in the province. “The SRG in Bantaeng, Gowa, Luwu Timur, and Luwu Utara runs the storage management well,” Sidharta mentioned.

The implementation which runs well too, namely for the grain and rice is in Sidrap and Pinrang – managed by PT Pertani. The SRG for the seaweed and runs well to fulfill the industrial needs in the domestic and to exports is managed by Koperasi Serikat Pekerja Merdeka Indonesia (Kospermindo) and PT Wahana Pronatural, Tbk in Makassar. “SRG could play its role as the financial instrument within the export commodity,” he said.

Meanwhile in general the SRG management runs well. The storage managements are in  Koperasi Serba Usaha Adi Luwung in District of Luwu Timur and Koperasi Tani Bontolempangan in District of Gowa. “The works are seen from the activeness of SRG to publish the storage receipt sustainably,” he mentioned.

The SRG managements to encourage are Koperasi Ere Mattika in District of Bantaeng and KSU Mitra Setia in District of Luwu Utara. “One thing to do is by managing the new storage so that there would be new spirit to mobilize the economy and recover the economy nationally because it is hit by Covid-19,” he mentioned.

He continued that until now ministry of trade has helped 12 SRG within the facilities in city/district in the province. The 12 SRG are in Gowa, Palopo, Pinrang, Bantaeng, Takalar, Sidrap, Luwu, Luwu Utara (one region one SRG); and SRG in Bone and Luwu Timur (two SRG for each district).

The SRG implementation in Indonesia refers to the Laws No. 9 / 2006 which was substituted to be Laws No. 9 / 2011. In the beginning SRG was designed as the instrument to postpone the selling and the alternative to get finance for the farmers and businessmen in the domestic or those who wanted to export (their commodities).
