Agricom.id, MALANG - Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo released the four containers of cabbage to Taiwan. Each container did consist of 25 tons of cabbage within about 40 thousand rupiah per kilogram.

"This is what we called as the agriculture acceleration. We could increase the food security and have the export values that the people whole over the world demands,” he said after releasing the cabbage exports in District of Malang, East Java, Thursday (3/9/2020).

Minister Syahrul also said that in this year, the vegetable exports from Indonesia could be about 230 containers. The numbers would be increasing up to 300 containers.

"Last year, our fruit and vegetable exports might be about 6 billion rupiah. Then the promising business and could feed the people is the agriculture for it gets more powerful and accelerative,” he said, as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.

He also thought that the export release is the same with what President Joko Widodo told. The economic recovery is the prior thing to do in the Covid-19 pandemic which still takes place in the world.

“The president always wants to see the real economic acceleration and could give the income to the people. We encourage it,” he said.

He also hoped that every people could encourage the agriculture to keep working and producing. Besides, the quality of our agriculture should be increased to compete with other products from many countries.

"The economy would not be very good for about one to two years to go but one thing that never gets weaker is the agriculture because the food needs is never postpone. The agricultural business is always open. The agriculture would fail if the management does not run well,” he said. (A2)
