Agricom.id, MALANG – Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) said that the fertilizers are important parts to optimize the agriculture.

He said that when visiting the fertilizer storage of PT. Petrokimia in Village of Bakalan, Malang, East Java, Friday (4/9/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

“The fertilizers are the essential parts to optimize the agriculture. We believed that PT. Petrokimia and other fertilizer factories would do maximally, particularly to make the subsidized fertilizers,” he said.

Not only that, he did hope that PT. Petrokimia and others would prepare the new innovation so that the plantations and fruits (could develop) more maximally.

The former governor of South Sulawesi also emphasized that there is no decreasing production but increasing though it is not in massive numbers.

“The fertilizer intervention would make the production better. We are now in the second planting. We passed the first planting well. Of course, we do hope, the fertilizer allocation could be more. There is plan to increase the numbers of subsidized fertilizers. But we will see,” he said.

General Director of Agriculture Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture, Sarwo Edhy said that his side would keep maximizing the subsidized fertilizers distribution.

“The distribution mechanism of the subsidized fertilizers would be by electronic group need basic plans or elektronik rencana dasar kebutuhan kelompok (e-RDKK) and it is proven efficiently. Those who got the fertilizers were valid up to 94 percent. We would do the better one in every single year,” he said.

He also mentioned that the data verification of those who got the fertilizer was the key.

“Those who got subsidized fertilizers are from the groups’ proposals. Then they were verified in phase, starting from the district, the province, and finally confirmed. The data was used to distribute the subsidized fertilizers,” he mentioned. (A2)
