Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Ministry of agriculture through Public Relation and Information Bureau did Tik-Talk (Tani Inspiratif Kekinian Talkshow) within the theme “Milenial Indonesia Lebih Baik Jadi Petani" held in the House of Tani (HOT) in the Hall of PIA, Ministry of Agriculture, South Jakarta, Friday (4/9/2020).
In the event, Safari, the owner of SayuranPagi.Com told that Sayuran Pagi wants to be the solution to fulfill the better daily needs for the people. “We provide kinds of vegetables which we planted by using the hydroponic and it is cleaner and healthier than those planted in conventional ways,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
Besides, Sayuran Pagi also provided the easy services by pre-order system before the vegetables are harvested and sent to the customers’ houses after the vegetable are harvested to guarantee the freshness. This is about to ease the loyal customers of Sayuran Pagi . “We safely package the vegetables. It is hygienic and the customers feel comfort when buying our products,” he said.
He also told that if it is really done, the profession as a farmer would be promising even in this pandemic. “In the pandemic, our selling increased more than 50 percent,” he said.
“When the people could not go outside, our product is the option because we deliver it to their house after being harvested. We used to harvest once a week on Saturday. We could harvest 15 to 17 kilograms within 4 to 5 million rupiah of turnover,” he said.
He also thought that the point of this business is to keep the consumers’ trust.
“We keep the trust of our consumers by maintaining our quality,” he said.
One artist in Jakarta, Vicky Shu is also interested in agricultural business. She admitted that she and her family are hit by Covid-19 pandemic. She should be more creative to do other business.
She decided to sell daily needs through Toko Tani. “We took the rice and other agricultural products from the farmers in person and we sold them to the people,” she said.
She confessed that she did not get much profit from selling the daily needs. Her main goal is to help the people to get the food in economic price easily.
“The concept is semi charity – how to approach the agricultural commodity to the people in economic price. If it could, it should be less than the normal price,” she mentioned.
"Led by ministry of agriculture every commodity is in stable price and approaches every commodity. It means, the farmers are developed by ministry. We directly get the products from the farmers and it is stable,” she said.
Ardi, the cow milk businessman also told that the agriculture and livestock business is promising. He started the breeding cow business and cow products, such as, milk, since 2016. Until now he has 80 cows. He distributes the products to the cooperation and cafes. He thought that it is not difficult to market the cow milk. “There are lots of demands than the stocks,” he said.
Head of Public Information and Relation, Ministry of Agriculture, Kuntoro Boga Andri told that this is the right moment to put back the price of people to the local and available natural resources. “We are here to prove that the agricultural business is the promising one in the pandemic,” he said.
“The agriculture is not underestimated business. It is important, great even in the pandemic such now. The turnover of the agriculture increases. Hopefully the domestic agriculture could always supply the food in our country,” he said. (A2)
