Agricom.id, JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) urged his officers to work seriously and ensured that the agriculture should develop well. He also told that there should be direct field checks about the situation and condition.
“The agriculture is about the field and every field would have different condition. So local problem must be responded by local response," SYL told when greeting the counselors in the Agriculture War Room (AWR), 2nd floor, Ministry of Agriculture, Tuesday (8/9/2020).
As the first thing to do, he also urged that komando strategis pembangunan pertanian (Kostratani) should be re-activated. This is urgent so that the counselors and the farmers could be active to realize the food security nationally.
“I do hope that Kostratani could be part of harmony in ministry of agriculture. We would support and approach to solve the field issues,” he said, as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
He also thought that the digital system in agriculture, willing or not, should run massively to have better communication and inform other farmers.
“I want that every region has demonstration plot to be developed and there would be agricultural learning. There would be no empty areas left. We should plant every area to multiply the food availability,” he said.
He did hope that in the future, every counselor could be closer to the leaders in their regions to be in synergy to develop the agriculture nationally.
“The key is that the agriculture would have the acceleration if there is harmony. Let us approach though through the video conference,” he said. (A2)
