Agricom.id, BEKASI - Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) inaugurated the 4th National Meeting of Asosiasi Perusahaan Pengendalian Hama Indonesia (Aspphami) of 2020 in Hotel Horison Ultima, City of Bekasi, West Java Province, Thursday (10/9/2020).
In the event, SYL hoped that Aspphami could be the essential part to control the pest and bacteria in every food commodity which is imported or exported. Aspphami should cooperate with the quarantine to do screening in each goods that gets into Indonesia.
"The association should have impact and benefits for everyone,” SYL told in his speech within the theme ‘Peran Fumigasi Dalam Peningkatan Daya Saing Ekspor’, as in the official written statement to Agricom.id.
He also thought that the bacteria and pest spread should be the serious thing to notice to make sure that the people (would consume) the healthy products. The two should not be in the products or food in this country.
“Then every in and out door of the export and import should be free from the pests and bacteria. Every one of us should strengthen this country well,” he said.
In the same location, Chairman of Aspphami, Boyke Arie Pahlevi supported the policy of ministry of agriculture to tighten the checks or incoming and outgoing export and import commodities of the agriculture.
“We do support every activity in ministry of agriculture about the check of import and export tightly. We have the members in every port and airport,” he said.
He also mentioned that 90 companies are ready to support the policy of ministry of agriculture and would work well to ensure the fumigation runs in the same time.
“We would do well what Minister SYL told, namely for the people’s health. We would encourage the fumigation in every region,” Boyke said. (A2)
