Agricom.id, JAKARTA –Covid-19 pandemic which still hits the world makes the negative to many sectors. This could be the concern but not to agriculture because many want to involve in it.

Comedian in Indonesia Narji Cagur, for example, is serious to do the agriculture as the living source. He proposed Kelompok Tani Sengketa in City of Tanggerang. He thought that the agriculture is important for the people whole over the world.

“Starting from the narrow areas in South Tanggerang, I took the villagers to advantage the area in conflict to be planted by kinds of vegetables. Alhamdulillah it is good,” he said, Tuesday (15/9/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.

He also mentioned that the villagers in his region could get profits up to Rp 2 million from their harvest. They planted bulbs, artificial plantations, and vegetables,

He also told that it is important to have open public information in agriculture so that the people could get the information fast and accurately.

“In the old years, I knew the agriculture from the groups only but no through ministry of agriculture, I could access the information about agriculture. This is very helpful,” he said.

He did hope that the government could give more information about the agriculture. “This would encourage the people plant directly,” he said.

In many occasions, Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo told to advantage the yard. He also reminded that the pandemic could be the threat of food crisis. He encouraged the people to fulfill the food needs and nutrients by advantaging the house yards.

Head of Badan Ketahanan Pangan, Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Hendriadi told that fulfillinh the nutrients in the house could minimize the expense but increase the income.

“The villagers could optimize their yards by planting kinds of vegetables. They would get more to fulfill the nutrients in their family. If everyone does this, Indonesia would not be in food crisis,” he said.. (A2)
