Agricom.id, BOGOR – The durian plantation, Warso Farm planned to develop 13 hectares of bushes to plant dragon fruit and durian in lower areas of Gunung Salak, Cijeruk, District of Bogor, West Java Province. This is about to fulfill the fruit needs in Indonesia, namely for the exports.
“We would like to get the government’s development - ministry of agriculture to know the planting until the production,” the owner and manager of Warso Farm, Voni Pawaka said, Saturday (19/9/2020) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
He told that his side proposed to get the seeds, including the decorative plants, such as, , philodentron and simonium. The two were proposed to fulfill the varieties of agriculture in District of Bogor and around.
"We proposed it by online. Alhamdulillah, we got the good response for twice,” he said.
Knowing this, the staff of Minister of Agriculture in Agribusiness Development, Lutfi Halide did welcome the proposals of Warso Farm to develop the plantations in the districts. He thought that ministry of agriculture would send the horticulture researchers to develop the seeding process.
“We would help them because after seeing here, the plantations still face the pest attacks in the roots of the trees,” he said
Lutfi thought that his side would ask for the developers from general directorate of horticulture to see the process of the fruit plantations in Warso Farm in this very short time.
“I have told to Warso Farm if the plantations here need development. It needs to put the pipe within 50 centimeters in dept. The pesticides should be applied to put down the pest. We would ask for the officers in the general directorate of horticulture to do it to get the optimal production,” he said.
In the previous, Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo told that Indonesia has the big potential to export durian. He thought that durian is good to export whole over the world.
"Indonesia and the glory of the fruits, vegetables, and beans have the same quality with other products in the world. We have the big power in fruit from Sabang to Merauke,” he said. (A2)
