Agricom.id, JAKARTA - Ministry of agriculture has five strategies to develop the agriculture in 2021, they are, reinforce the food security and increase the agricultural competition in the markets globally.
Ministry of agriculture would focus the work to develop the available resources and guarantee the available agricultural production infrastructures.
“Next year, we would focus to increase the agricultural human resource and realize the bureaucracy reformation, and the governance which focus to the good service,” Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo said, Tuesday (22/9/2020), as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
He thought that the five strategies have the end targets, they are, to realize thee food independency nationally, fulfill the food needs of the Indonesian citizens, and increase the farmers’ economy in Indonesia.
“The strategies that we designed were the results of program explanation about the access, and qualified food consumption. The strategies have additional values and good industrial competition, namely to develop the researches and technology innovation of science,” he said.
To accelerate the targets, he ordered every general directorate in ministry of agriculture to manage and be responsible on their jobs.
Each directorate would formulate the strategic programs which have been adjusted, and also the budget which Commission IV, Indonesian Legislators confirmed.
“We have lots of budget that we could achieve in this time available. I do hope, ministry of agriculture and commission IV are in synergy to develop the agriculture in Indonesia,” he said.
For information, Commission IV, Indonesian Legislators agreed the budget in ministry of agriculture in the rencana kerja dan anggaran kementerian/lembaga (RKAKL) in 2021 for about Rp 21,83 billion. It increased about 50 percent compared to 2020 which reached Rp 14,06 billion.
The composition of the budget was divided for each echelon covering the general secretariat for about Rp 1,7 billion, the general inspectorate for about Rp 164 billion. General directorate of food plantation got for about Rp 4,91 billion and the general directorate of horticulture got for about Rp 1,14 billion.
The general directorate of plantation got Rp 1,61 billion, general directorate of livestock and animal’s health got Rp 2,13 billion, general directorate of agricultural infrastructure got Rp 5, 27 billion, badan ketahanan pangan got Rp 767 billion, badan karantina pertanian go Rp 1,11 billion, the research and development of agriculture got Rp 1,67 billion, and agriculture of human resource development and counseling got Rp 1,33 billion.
